So as this week has gone on, I have been able to narrow down a date for our wedding! Yaaaay... I know you guys are as excited as I am. Lol. We have two venues that we are looking to book for the wedding and both are fitting for the occasion. We have decided to stay with the small and intimate wedding that we talked about. Having a large lavish wedding is just not our idea of a dream wedding. We want our closest family and friends to come and enjoy our day with us, which actually is quite a bit of people and fun on its own!
As of right now, our two options are the Hilton Garden Inn in the Virginia Beach Town Center or the Courtyard Marriott on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Both properties are nice and cozy and definitely give off that feel as soon as you walk in the door. This was very important to me. I didn't want to feel like a small fish in a big sea. I wanted a venue to fit our size and feel that we were going for. If we were to have it at the Hilton Garden Inn we could do wedding day pictures in the Town center which could turn out super chic. The cobble stone streets and cozy town back drop could look lovely for our pictures. As well, with the Courtyard Marriott on the Oceanfront, we would have some great beach pictures. It is Virginia Beach after all!
I know what you're thinking... When is the date already!! Lol... We have settled on February 18, 2012. Looks like we will get to have our Romantic wedding after all. I have so many things already picked out and ideas are just flying through my mind left and right. My mom and biff Crystal keep my head from spinning out of control! They give the 'ye' or 'nay' on all my over the top ideas. Recently, we have actually all been on the same page though and that's really whats making it all come together quite nice. Gotta love having those helpers who are just as into the planning and creating as you are.
I hope to share my ideas and frustrations with you guys as I push forward with all the planning of our wedding. And, I definitely encourage all ideas and opinions if you have any. Toodles.
