Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer + MAC Overdyed Blush Review

When summer time hits everyone automatically runs for the golds and bronzed look when it comes to make-up.  I must admit, that is one of my favorite summer faces but I have really been trying to step out of my comfort zone.  While oranges, browns and golds may look magnificent against my skin (a little self flattery never hurts, lol), there are plenty of other colors that look quite nice as well.  Currently I am working on pinks for the summer.  At the time, when I went to the MAC counter (yes, I am a MAC whore) they had this pretty little color called Overdyed.  Whether you apply very little or a whole lotta, it will take you from looking sweet to evening drama in seconds.  One or two swipes for a nice sweet spring look... Maybe about 4 swipes for that evening drama.  Now the amount you need will also depend on the palette its being applied on.  On bare skin, no primer or foundation you will probably need to apply more in order to achieve the color you desire.  Personally,  I am in love with Bobbi Brown's Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer.  I started using this one about 2 weeks ago after a recommendation from a friend.  My MAC Studio Tint Moisturizer was making me very oily by the middle of the day and it dawned on me that its not oil-free.  Us oily gals know that almost all skin products we use MUST be oil-free in order for them to last throughout the day.

Above is a picture I took with me wearing the MAC Studio Tint.  The skin looks fabulous but even in this picture (which was taken only 2 hours after applying my face for the day) you can start to see the "glow" or accumulation of oiil on my skin.

In the picture above, I was wearing the Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer.  Now there is a HUGE difference but mainly because I am not wearing mascara or gloss.  If you're able to look past that then you can see my face lacks the oily sheen that I had with the MAC Tinted Moisturizer.  Also, in the second picture I have a few swipes of my MAC Overdyed blush.  You likey?  There have been days that I have done a more dramatic look with the Overdyed blush but today, this is all I had time for.  Clearly, I didn't even have time to apply mascara!

So, I just wanted to update you guys on a few new products I've tried out.  I think this are definitely summer keepers as I tend to get LOTS of compliments when I wear them!  And, what girl doesn't like compliments?!  Until next time... Toodles <3

  1. I think you look great in both pictures. Sweeter on the bottom one though. I'm an oily girl too but I don't wear any make-up. Sometimes I think that only we notice how oily we are because sometimes when I bring it up to someone they will be like you are only a little oily but I'm like I feel alot oily. Anywho witch hazel has helped me alot but like I said you look great in both pictures.

  2. Hey Judy, thanks for the compliment! You are so right... People never think I'm as oily as I find myself to be. I have heard good things about witch hazel so I think I'm gonna have to give it a try now. Thanks for the advice ;-)

  3. In fact there are excellent, safe, and effective ingredients available for manufacturers to use in top shelf anti aging products, which have been known for many years to have excellent moisturizing qualities. Avocado oil, Shea Butter and Macadamia Nut oil are just a few of them.best bleaching cream for black skin reviews
