My Top 3 Foundations

When it comes to foundations, I am a huge fan.  By huge fan, I mean that I am always looking for the next best thing.  I love a great foundation that accentuates my own skin.  Not too long ago, I needed foundations that covered my skin completely due to acne and hyperpigmentation but those days are behind me now thankfully.  Now, it's all about having that "natural" look even after I apply my foundation.

Cover FX BB Gel in N Deep
Lately I have been Insta-Reviewing a few foundations that have caught my eye.  I'm sure it's hard to keep up since a new foundation catches my eye pretty often these days!  But, honestly I used the Cover FX BB Gel for nearly 7 months straight without switching at all.  So, lets start with that miracle worker.  When I started using the Cover FX BB Gel, my skin was just starting to recover from all of the acne breakouts.  Which obviously means I was in the hyperpigmentation stage of the recovery process.  One major pro to this foundation is that it will work to help improve your skin as you wear it.  Some days, I could visibly see that my skin looked better after I took off my makeup.  So, if you're suffering with some skin issues this is a great option that won't railroad your process to get things back on track.  Additionally, the coverage is amazing!  Again, if you are battling skin issues finding a foundation with good coverage helps a lot.  It does a great job evening out the skin tone and controlling oil so that it lasts throughout the day.  If you are currently in a war against your skin or you're in the process of recovery give this foundation a try.  < I can't say that enough!! LOL

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation in 330
Next up is a foundation I came across by chance in Target.  I've heard so many good things about the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation but never tried it in the past because everyone always made the same comment... It has a dewy finish.  Well dewy finish does not mix well with oily skin so I stayed away and admired from a distance.  Recently Maybelline came out with the Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation formula that I found while walking the aisles of target.  FINALLY, I could see what this classic cult favorite was all about.  Surprisingly, it was everything I expected it to be.  For a drugstore foundation that I paid $4.99 for, it certainly can stand toe to toe with some higher end options.  The coverage is medium to full with a semi matte finish and it does blend VERY well with very little ease.  I think everyone should have either this or the original formula in their makeup drawers.  For $4.99 why not right?!  Whether its for everyday use so your more expensive foundations last longer or you only use it when you run out of your holy grail foundation, this foundation is sure to gain some face time with you eventually.
NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Liquid Foundation in Syracuse
Last, but certainly NOT least, is the heavy hitter of the crew.  The new NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Liquid Foundation is EVERYTHING it claims to be and more.  The light serum-like formula is super pigmented while feeling light on the skin.  If you are an oily skin type then please don't let the "Luminous" word scare you away like it usually does for us.  This foundation is actually better fit for oily skin as it does dry down very quickly and controls oil for an extended period of time.  I have seen quite a few dry skin girls complaining about how the finish looked on them in regards to the foundation clinging to dry patches on their skin.  If you are a dry skin type then I would highly suggest you moisturize and exfoliate well before apply this foundation.  The coverage for this foundation is medium to full as well but it really becomes one with your skin giving off a more natural appearance.  Spending $50 on a foundation is not my norm but when I consider that I likely will use this for the rest of the year (with the exception of having to purchase a darker shade come summer), then it works out financially for me.

Hopefully, I've been able to answer your questions about my favorite foundations as of late.  Granted this lineup can and probably will change throughout the year, these are some really good options if you're in the market.  If I didn't answer your question, please comment below and I will be sure to follow up!  Until next time... XOXO
