Avengers: End Game
It's Not Just for the Super Fans

When I received the invite to go screen Avengers: End Game, the first thing I thought was that I would need to take Steven with me because I know nothing about the story line.  And, I did just that.  Would ya'll believe that man actually took a whole day off from work to attend the press preview with me?!  Talking about... "finally something I benefit from in all of this blogging..."!  But I digress... walking into the movie, I really thought I would be asleep by hour 2 of the movie (because it's 3 whole hours).  GIRL.  I was on the edge of my seat THE WHOLE TIME.  This is coming from someone who isn't even a super fan of the series!  I barely knew anything about these characters yet here I was with my heart racing, tears in my eyes + cracking up like we went way back.

If you are like myself + haven't seen any of the previous movies, don't worry!  I promise you that you will understand everything that is going on.  There was really only one moment where I was confused as to why something was said or done but that didn't take away from how great the movie was.  There was a mention of 'Hail Hydra' which had me like, huh?  But, Steven explained the significance which made sense immediately.  I'm not (or didn't think I was) a super hero movie fan but this movie definitely changed my mind.  It wasn't cheesy or 'childish' like I thought it would be.  It was a damn good movie and probably one of the best I've seen in a very long time.  Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), was hilarious the entire movie which is a personality trait that we don't get to see much in his previous movies.  The entire cast really showcased very comedic personalities making the movie funny yet emotionally charged as well.  Does it live up to the hype?  ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY.

Until next time...

XOXO
Candice
