Sweet + Spicy Salmon + Salad

I don't know about you but I love having light + fresh meals during the Summer!  Throw together an easy protein like Salmon with some fresh veggies and its a match made in heaven.  I was able to have the groceries I needed delivered from Amazon Fresh in less than two hours.  I'm still so happy to know that families in the DC Metro Area in the SNAP program can use their EBT cards to make the same healthy + fresh options.  This is something I won't stop talking about for a while because I really want to get the word out to as many families as possible.  Being a voice for our community is something I will never get tired of.

Tonight I'm making some Sweet + Spicy Air Fried Salmon using DC favorite's Capitol City Mambo Sauce along with a quick fresh salad on the side.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

Salmon Filets
Salt + Pepper (season to your liking)
Capital City Mambo Sauce

Salad:

Orange Bell Pepper (sliced)
Grape Tomatoes (halved)
Red Onion (thinly sliced)
Basil (chopped)

Directions:

Season salmon filets to your liking with S+P.  Drizzle Capital City Mambo Sauce all over.  Spray top of salmon with oil of your choice (I used Avocado oil) + spray Air Fryer Pan to keep salmon from sticking.  Place in Air Fryer for 10 minutes on 375.  I personally like my salmon well done but adjust temperature/time to achieve the salmon cooked to your liking.

For the salad, you'll need to thinly slice all the vegetables.  Throw in a bowl, add seasonings of your choice + olive oil and vinegar.  Mix until all the vegetables are coated.  Add half of chopped basil.

Once salmon is cooked, plate immediately with salad.  Add remaining basil for garnish.

Bon Appetit!

This is one of my favorite Summer meals to make because of how easy it is.  Honestly, my youngest child, Kennedy, could make it on her own!  If you're in the mood, throw the salmon on the grill to take the flavor profile up a notch.

Shopping the ingredients online via Amazon using an EBT card is as simple as adding your EBT card through amazon.com/snap.  And don't forget, shopping Amazon Fresh with your EBT card does not require a membership.  Amazon did really good with this offering + I'm so proud to be able to work alongside a company that is thinking about the everyone in this way.  Let me know if you try this recipe and what you think!  I'm telling you, that Capital City Mambo Sauce really hits the spot + elevates a very basic meal.

Until next time...
